Patrick Howe Artworks
I graduated from Pacific Northwest College of Art in 1974, where I received two consecutive fellowships. After graduating I became the Head Preparator at the Portland Art Museum, which involved installing exhibitions in over twenty galleries. I have exhibited widely, including in two juried exhibitions at the Portland Art Museum, and I had a one person show at the Loveland Art Museum, in Colorado. I owned Patrick Howe Gallery, in Seattle, from 2004 to 2014. In 2013 my book “The Awakening Artist: Madness and Spiritual Awakening in Art” was published and nominated for the Robert Motherwell Book Award in 2014 for outstanding and original thinking on the topic of Modernism in Art. I have been jurying and curating shows since 2004. I am the Executive Director of the Emerald City Art Club. My current artistic focus in on my Post Personalism artwork series, which includes the works below.
